Sockt privacy notice
Sockt is part of Raq.com and is provided by Vu AI Ltd. The Raq.com privacy policy covers your account, billing and anything you do in Sockt while signed in. This notice adds what is specific to Sockt.
Data about websites
Sockt records facts about public websites: which technologies a site uses, where and when we saw them, its public DNS records, its rank in public lists and AI estimates of the organisation behind it. It collects these from public archive captures and from SocktBot visits to public pages.
Sockt profiles describe domains and organisations, not people. To detect technologies and make AI estimates we keep the parts of a page that matched and a short extract of its visible text. Public profiles never show either, and we do not publish personal details found on a page.
If you run a website and want its profile removed, remove your site from Sockt. Removal applies to sockt.com, search, exports and the API.
Visitors to sockt.com
Pages on sockt.com set no cookies and do not load advertising or analytics scripts. Our hosting provider and Cloudflare process your IP address to deliver pages and to protect the site, and we use it to rate limit lookups. When you sign up or sign in you move to raq.com, where the Raq.com privacy policy applies.
The waitlist
If you join the Sockt waitlist on raq.com we keep your email address, plus your name, company and note if you give them, to tell you when Sockt opens. We use them for nothing else and delete them on request.
